Masuria is among the most beautiful — and at the same time the greenest — regions of Europe.

At the outset I would like to clarify something. In German people often say "in die Masuren" in the plural — but the inhabitants of Masuria would scarcely accept this. "Die Masuren" refers to the past and present inhabitants. We therefore want to travel with you to Masuria — to this so distinctive and mysterious land. In English Masuria functions naturally as a regional name.

Masuria is a region in the southern part of the former East Prussia, today the Polish Warmia-Masuria voivodeship (Województwo Warmińsko-Mazurskie).

Picturesque lakes, wide fields and dark forests between gentle hills succeed each other under the famous wide sky of former East Prussia. It is a journey through a land full of history and at the same time veiled in mystery.
