Location

Insterburg — today Chernyakhovsk — lies in the very centre of the Kaliningrad Oblast, at a convenient transport crossroads. From here we set out with you on individual searches for traces in the home places of your ancestors throughout the area.

We have detailed cartographic material — for example, old Prussian survey maps (Messtischblätter) and population registers. Many small localities were not resettled after 1945 — nature has taken these places back. We are also equipped for searches in difficult conditions: we have the necessary equipment and an off-road vehicle.
